Rockefeller Memorial Chapel will host its 94th annual Interfaith Community Thanksgiving Service on Thursday, Nov. 27.

The Hyde Park and Kenwood Interfaith Council will sponsor the time-honored service, which will begin at 11 a.m. It is a celebration of community and the diversity of religion of the Hyde Park and Kenwood neighborhoods.

The service will feature many religious traditions, including songs by the Chicago Children’s Choir, dance by the St. Ailbe Praise Dancers and a musical performance by University Organist Thomas Weisflog. The Rev. Deborah Derylak of the Department of Spiritual Care in the University Medical Center will speak at the service.

Donations will be accepted during the service to support The Community Food Pantry and The Open Kitchen, both Hyde Park hunger programs. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Laura Hollinger at (773) 702-7111 or marie1@uchicago.edu.
