    Bursar, Comptroller offices will reduce services during upcoming holiday break


    The Bursar’s Office and the Comptroller’s Office, except for Payroll, will reduce operations during the period from Monday, Dec. 24 through Monday, Dec. 31.

    The Payroll Department will follow its normal schedule with the following exceptions: The Payroll Department will close at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 28. Independent contractor payments and monthly salary advances will not be processed during the holiday period. All non-salary disbursements (e.g., direct payment vouchers, independent contractor payment requests, petty cash, employee reimbursements and travel advances and reimbursements) that require payment by Monday, Dec. 31, must be received prior to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, and will be available for distribution no later than Friday, Dec. 21 at the Bursar’s Office. All electronic payments that need to be processed for December 2007 must be received no later than Wednesday, Dec. 19.

    The Central Procurement Services office must receive any purchase requests (Central Procurement Services Form 100) that require processing before Monday, Dec. 31 by no later than Friday, Dec. 7. Purchase-order related invoices that require payment by Monday, Dec. 31 must be in the Central Procurement office no later than Wednesday, Dec. 12.

    Tuition and Billing services will be closed for the entire holiday period, from Monday, Dec. 24 through Monday, Dec. 31. During the closing, tuition and fee payments may be placed in the overnight depository or sent to the bank lockbox address on the billing statement.

     Cashiers in the Bursar’s will only be available for processing departmental deposits from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, Thursday, Dec. 27, and Friday, Dec. 28, and from 8:30 a.m. until noon Monday, Dec. 31. During these days, the cashiers will not provide any other services such as check cashing, student payment processing or sale of postage stamps. Regular operations will resume Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008.

    Check distribution will only be available to disburse monthly payroll and accounts payable checks from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 28. Any checks not picked up by 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, may be picked up Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008.

    Student Loan Administration will be closed from Monday, Dec. 24 through Monday, Dec. 31.

    The Comptroller and Bursar offices will resume normal business hours on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008.
