The fifth annual Chicago Convenes event held Friday, May 4, was the venue for much good news. The University thanked friends and alumni who have contributed to the Chicago Initiative, the University’s $2 billion capital campaign, which totals $1,843,465,566. The day’s events, which culminated with a dinner in Rockefeller Memorial Chapel (above) also celebrated Jules Knapp and Gwen Knapp (below), who accept the University’s most prestigious award, the University of Chicago Medal, from President Zimmer.
