Working toward bringing ILC to Illinois

Pier Oddone, Director of Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, speaks at Fermilab’s Wednesday, March 7 International Linear Collider symposium. Oddone has established a steering group chaired by Fermilab Deputy Director Young-Kee Kim, who also is a Professor in Physics and the College. The steering group will evaluate ILC development projects, which could also lead to other future experiments. March 7 also marked the first meeting of Fermilab’s International Linear Collider Committee, chaired by Michael Turner, the Bruce V. and Diana M. Rauner Distinguished Service Professor in Astronomy & Astrophysics and the College.
