In one of several recent communication initiatives with students, President Zimmer spoke at an open forum Thursday, Feb. 8, in the McCormick Tribune Lounge. He gave a speech concerning University planning and then answered student questions for over an hour on such issues as the University’s divestment decision, graduate student aid, diversity in the faculty and improving communication with students. Approximately 200 people attended. Zimmer also gave the Winter 2007 Izaak and Pera Wirszup Lecture, titled “Thinking about the University,” on Monday, Feb. 12, in the Max Palevsky East Commons.
