Alumna Neuner honored for achievements on soccer field

Renee Neuner (A.B.,’ 06) has been named a conference winner for the National Collegiate Athletic Association Woman of the Year. Honored for her achievements in the University Athletic Association’s women’s soccer team, Neuner is one of just 10 conference winners in the Division III to be nominated for the national 2006 NCAA Woman of the Year Award.

Thirty nominees, 10 from each division, were chosen from 121 student-athletes. This award honors female student-athletes who have excelled in academics, athletics and community leadership and who have completed their collegiate athletics eligibility.

Neuner, who concentrated in Gender Studies while at the University, has previously won the NCAA post-graduate scholarship and the 2003 NCAA Division III Player of the Year award in women’s soccer.
