    Tech forum to highlight Argonne

The University will sponsor the Chicago Technology Forum on Wednesday, May 24, and it will highlight Argonne National Laboratory and its contributions to industry and the nation’s economy.

Robert Rosner, Director of Argonne National Laboratory and the William E. Wrather Distinguished Service Professor in Astronomy & Astrophysics, Physics and the College, will discuss the lab’s ambitious plans for advancing science and technology. Additionally, corporate and laboratory representatives will provide insights on how to expand collaborative opportunities at Argonne.

The Chicago Technology Forum highlights emerging technologies for academic, business and investment leaders. Originally announced five years ago by Mayor Richard Daley and President Randel, the Technology Forum has become a novel partnership among the state’s preeminent research universities and laboratories.

The Chicago Technology Forum will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, May 24, at the Gleacher Center, 450 N. Cityfront Plaza. For more information about the forum or to reserve a seat, contact techforum@uchicago.edu or (773) 702-0628.
