Meetings to gather feedback on South campus plans

The University will hold a meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday, June 6, at the School of Social Service Administration, which will focus on collecting community feedback on design possibilities for the proposed residence hall on the South campus.

The design team, in the initial phases of the design process, will moderate question-and-answer discussions with community members about different building features under consideration, such as heights, massing and general program of the building. After the community’s input is received at the Monday, June 6 meeting, a conceptual design of the residence hall will be presented at a follow-up meeting Thursday, June 23.

Two additional meetings involving community residents will be scheduled and will focus on minority participation/apprenticeships and construction logistics.

Additional questions about the meetings may be directed to 702-4568 or smalunda@uchicago.edu.
