    Flu vaccines cancelled

Due to nationwide shortages of the influenza vaccine this year, the University is unable to offer free vaccinations to University employees and students and University Hospitals employees, as it has done in years past.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has suggested that only high-risk and “priority” groups should receive the vaccine.

Information about the U.S. limits and the CDC’s description of high-risk and priority groups can be found at http://www.cdc.gov.flu.

The administration of the University and the Hospitals are deferring the available vaccine to high-risk/priority groups who are patients of the Hospitals and students and employees who are direct health care providers.
