Alex Kotlowitz on campus for SSA Orientation

Author Alex Kotlowitz discussed race, poverty and prejudice with incoming SSA students during Orientation Week. All first-year students were given a copy of his 1998 book, The Other Side of the River: A Story of Two Towns, a Death and America's Dilemma. Following the lecture, students and faculty met in small groups to consider the role of social workers in reducing prejudice, inequality and injustice.
