    Spring Convocation is right around corner

    The result of the hard work of nearly 2,500 graduates--this spring's haul of diplomas--was delivered Tuesday, June 3, at 58th Street and Ellis Avenue.
    The University's 473rd Convocation ceremonies will take place in Harper Quadrangle Friday, June 13 through Sunday, June 15.

    Session I will take place Friday, June 13. This session will honor graduates of the Law School, the Irving B. Harris Graduate School of Public Policy Studies and the School of Social Service Administration. The quadrangle will open at 8:45 a.m., and the ceremony will begin at 10 a.m.

    Session II, also on Friday, June 13, will honor graduates of the Biological Sciences Division, the Pritzker School of Medicine, the Graham School of General Studies, the Humanities Division, the Physical Sciences Division, the Social Sciences Division and the Divinity School. The quadrangle will open at 1:45 p.m., and the ceremony will begin at 3 p.m.

    Tickets are not required for Sessions I or II.

    Session III will take place Saturday, June 14, and will honor graduates of the College.

    The quadrangle will open at 8:45 a.m., and the ceremony will begin at 10 a.m.

    Session IV will take place Sunday, June 15. This session will honor graduates of the Graduate School of Business.

    The quadrangle will open at 12:15 p.m., and the ceremony will begin at 1:30 p.m. All guests, including children, must have tickets for Sessions III and IV.

    For guests who need or wish to be indoors, a real-time broadcast of each ceremony will be shown in Mandel Hall.

    Indoor seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
