    New president appointed to direct Credit Union


    Steven Wroblewski, who has more than 20 years of experience in financial services, has been appointed President of the Credit Union at the University.

    Wroblewski, who has been in the credit union industry since 1990, began his career in savings and loans in the Chicago area. He later served as the marketing vice-president of a $2 billion savings bank in Michigan.

    Wroblewski earned a B.A. from Loyola University in 1973, with a double major in political science and psychology. Spending his junior year at Loyola's Rome Center of Liberal Arts, in Rome, Italy, he also earned an M.A. from the American University of Beirut, in Beirut, Lebanon, in 1975.

    The Credit Union at the University is a member-owned financial institution serving the faculty, staff and administration of the University and the University Hospitals. It was established in 1957 and has nearly 4,000 members and $10 million in assets.
