Striving toward peace

Members of the University community and people from around the world attended the all-day conference, “Colombia: Confronting Conflict, Striving Toward Peace,” at International House Saturday, April 5. Panelists addressed issues such as the country’s civil war and its failing economy. The event was sponsored by the student organization the Chicago Society, the University’s Human Rights Program and the Center for Latin American Studies.
