Comptroller’s Office to reduce operations during holidays

Except for payroll, the Comptroller’s Office will temporarily reduce its operations during the holiday period from Monday, Dec. 23, through Tuesday, Dec. 31.

Payroll will follow its normal schedule with two exceptions: the department will close all day on Tuesday, Dec. 24, and will close at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 31.

Independent contractor payments and monthly salary advances will not be processed during the holiday period.

Employees can pick up payroll and accounts payable checks on Friday, Dec. 27, and Tuesday, Dec. 31, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Any checks not picked up by 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 23 may be picked up on these dates.

The Non-salary Disbursement Department will be closed during the entire holiday period. All non-salary disbursements–direct payment vouchers, independent contractor payment requests, petty cash, employee reimbursements and travel advances and reimbursements–that are received by the Comptroller’s Office before 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, will be available for distribution no later than Monday, Dec. 23, at the Bursar’s Office.

The Bursar’s Office will be closed Dec. 24, 25, and Jan. 1. During the closing, tuition and fee payments may be placed in the overnight depository or sent to the bank lock box address on the billing statement.

Normal operations will resume Thursday, Jan. 2.
