Board of Trustees elects GSB alumnus David Booth
David Booth (M.B.A., 71) was elected to the University Board of Trustees at the boards annual June meeting. Booth is CEO and co-founder of Dimensional Fund Advisors, an investment firm that couples academic research with investing. He and co-chairman Rex Sinquefield (M.B.A., 72) co-founded the firm in 1981. Booth, who received his B.A. and M.S. from the University of Kansas, has maintained close relations with Chicagos Graduate School of Business. He is the recipient of the GSBs Distinguished Alumni Entrepreneurial Award, a former member of the GSBs Philanthropy Committee and has served on the Council on the Graduate School of Business since 1999. Currently, he is a member of the GSB Campaign Steering Committee. Since September 2001, Booth has served as a non-Trustee member of the Investment Committee of the Board of Trustees. In addition to his work at Dimensional Fund Advisors, Booth serves on the boards of the American Academy in Rome and the University of California, Los Angeles, Foundation. He also is a board member for the Assante Corp.
