Music preview

Undergraduate students who are musicians in the University Symphony Orchestra recently visited schools in the Hyde Park area to bring music to the classroom. The University Symphony Orchestra will perform an outreach concert for nearly 650 school children on Friday, Feb. 8, in Mandel Hall. University students took their music lessons to the pupils to prepare them for what they would soon be hearing. Carlos Villarreal and Elizabeth Hamlin, both third-year students in the College, went to Murray Language Academy earlier this week to visit pupils in Lu Ann Lawson’s second-grade class.
