Patti Woodworth, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, submitted her resignation last month, effective Monday, Dec. 31, in order to accept the position of Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration & Chief Financial Officer of the Art Institute of Chicago.

During her tenure at the University, Woodworth oversaw the execution of the first phases of the most ambitious capital program in its history, initiating construction projects across campus as outlined in the University’s Campus Master Plan. In that context she also led the University’s cash-management and financial programs.

“In helping us build for the future, Patti has made a significant contribution to advancing the University’s academic mission,” said President Randel. “This is a wonderful opportunity for her in the very stimulating environment of one of the world’s great cultural institutions. I congratulate both her and the Art Institute.”

A search is underway to identify a successor.
