    Janellen Huttenlocher, the William S. Gray Professor in Psychology, received the announcement that she had been awarded the 2002 G. Stanley Hall Award for Lifetime Achievement in Development Psychology from the American Psychological Association.

    Huttenlocher is a researcher in early childhood development and has done pioneering work on language development.

    Amanda Woodward, Associate Professor in Psychology, received the 2000 Boyd McCaundless Award for early achievement from the American Psychological Association.

    Woodward has done leading research on infants, in particular identifying times when they begin to recognize the intentions attendant to the actions of adults around them.
