    Khan chosen as new Ombudsperson

President Randel has appointed Noor-Aiman Khan, a Ph.D. graduate student in History, to serve as the University’s 2001-02 Student Ombudsperson, effective Monday, Sept. 24.

Khan will be responsible for investigating and helping resolve student complaints and grievances, particularly in instances where regular channels or processes have not proved sufficient.

“Suggestions from past Ombudspersons have helped us improve a variety of University procedures and ensured that students receive necessary information in a timely and useful manner,” Randel wrote in an announcement about the appointment. “The Ombudsperson performs a valuable service to our community, and all of us should cooperate fully with her inquiries and requests for information.”
