Gaillard appointed to serve as an Associate Dean in the GSB

Karen Gaillard has been appointed Associate Dean for Development and the capital campaign at the University’s Graduate School of Business, where she is overseeing the GSB’s fund-raising activities, including its current five-year, $175 million capital campaign.

Gaillard, who succeeds Whit Shepard, was formerly Senior Director of Capital and Major Gifts for the GSB and helped the school attract $105 million in gifts during the first eight months of the capital campaign. The campaign includes financing for a new Hyde Park integrated campus and planning for an M.B.A.-dedicated, modern residence hall, as well as support to help expand the GSB’s general management, entrepreneurship and marketing areas.

Gaillard joined the GSB in January 1996 and also served as the school’s Director of Corporate Relations. Earlier in her career, she was an assistant dean at the University of Illinois College of Commerce in Urbana-Champaign, and director of annual giving for the American Red Cross.
