Celebration will follow inaugurationSeating in Rockefeller Chapel is available to those holding tickets, which were made available to students and staff through a ticket lottery. Although seating in the chapel is limited, all members of the campus community may watch a live telecast of the procession and ceremony in Max Palevsky Cinema and the Cloister Club in Ida Noyes Hall. As an additional viewing alternative, a live Webcast will be offered at http://inauguration.uchicago.edu. After the convocation, members of the University community will celebrate Randels installation at a party at Ida Noyes Hall and the Midway Plaisance, where a tent will house food and entertainment throughout the evening. Below is a schedule for the inaugural convocation and the inaugural celebration that follows the ceremony. Inaugural Convocation 1:30 p.m., Rockefeller Memorial Chapel doors open for seating 1:30 p.m., Convocation participants assemble in Kovler Gymnasium 2 p.m., Procession from Kovler Gymnasium along 59th Street to the chapel 2:15 p.m., Doors to Rockefeller Memorial Chapel will close 2:30 p.m., Convocation begins Inaugural Celebration 2 p.m., Inaugural Convocation telecast in Max Palevsky Cinema, Ida Noyes Hall 4:30 p.m., Recession from Rockefeller Memorial Chapel to a tent at Ida Noyes Hall and the Midway Plaisance 4:45 p.m., Edgar Jannotta, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, will toast President Randel 5 to 8 p.m., Food and entertainment, including swing dancing in the tent, jazz in the Cloister Club and other vocal and instrumental groups, in both the tent and throughout Ida Noyes Hall 6:30 p.m., Unveiling of the Inaugural Tile Project 2000 in the lobby of Ida Noyes Hall
