    Experience gained
Last week students and staff gathered by the “Sue” dinosaur preparation area at the Field Museum of Natural History for a roundtable discussion on internships. Student-interns, their mentors and sponsors gathered with staff and faculty members for a reception afterward to celebrate the College Internship Programs. John McCarter Jr., president of the Field Museum of Natural History and University Trustee, and John Boyer, Dean of the College, hosted the event. Since 1997, more than 250 Chicago undergraduates have acquired internships exclusively reserved for students in the College.
