    Zak memorial service set for Monday


    A memorial service for Radovan Zak (Ph.D., ’68) is scheduled for 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 10, in the University’s Bond Chapel.

    Zak, who had been treated for heart disease for several years, died Sept. 21.

    A pioneer in the study of heart and skeletal muscle, Zak was a Professor in Medicine; Neurobiology, Pharmacology & Physiology; and Organismal Biology & Anatomy. He had been a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Professor Murray Rabinowitz in 1963 and joined the University faculty in 1965.
